About Thyatira Presbyterian Church

Thyatira Presbyterian Church is well-known as the cradle of Presbyterianism in North Carolina. Scotch-Irish Presbyterians made their way south from Pennsylvania in the eighteenth century and settled in western Rowan County. Thyatira was among the first churches established by these settlers and remains a strong witness to the Christian faith.

We hope you’ll see that in these pages and join us in our history of faith unfolding.
